Together we can Make community gardens great spaces for all New Yorkers & visitors
Our Mission & Vision
The Mission Statement defines the purpose for which All People’s Garden, Inc., was established, and describes the activities in which the organization can be involved as a not for profit, tax exempt charitable entity. The Board of Directors, and Member Gardeners, in order to guide them in making decisions for All People’s Garden, Inc., will look to the Mission Statement, together with its Bylaws and Certificate of Incorporation.
These Statements are
- To provide stewardship, maintenance, development, preservation and improvement to the open space at 293-95 East 4th Street, New Yok, NY 10009
- To educate the residents of the Lower East Side (Loisaida), and the city at large about the benefits of community gardens to the environment.
- To encourage and promote developed open spaces as an important aspect of the quality of life for the community in which they exist, and the development of new garden spaces.
- To support the enhancement of open spaces for recreational, horticultural, economic, environmental, and health benefits of these gardens, and open spaces for the residents of New York City.
